Places Umphrey's Should Play

As far as hair bands go, they weren’t completely terrible. There were worse bands of that genre.

Their guitarist, Reb Beach, is pretty talented.

That said I’ll never stop laughing at Kip Winger with the bass slung around his shoulders during their videos and not playing a single note

Lucky man

Comparing Winger to Primus?? Blasphemy!!

Not purposely. Winger was, and is, terrible.

I’m just joking around, Rick. I don’t mind Winger since I do listen to hair bands from time to time. There were far worse hair bands back then.

For instance, I can’t stand Faster Pussycat or LA Guns

Except Winger was like a wimpy pop hair band. I, for the most part, disliked the genre. Exception was GnR, and maybe some other bands I can’t think of right now.

I’m guilty as charged. I listened to my share of hair bands back in the day but thrash was my sub genre of choice.

Before I take the thread too far off topic, I wouldn’t mind seeing UM play at Jazzbones in Tacoma

just so you know, I’m all for the hair metal talk. any time or any day of the week.

My son in law’s dad is the drummer for a Poison tribute band

Joel had mentioned looking at playing here, guess it will never happen.

Looking at the bird band dates, seems like Fayetteville has a new 2,500 person venue called JJ Live. A bit bigger than George’s, but I still need to see a show in Arkansas so one can hope…
