His announcement indicates he will be out on the road, sounds like someone made him a better offer
He’s talented enough to do lots of different stuff. With UM’s post-covid decline to more dates at smaller venues it’s not surprising but definitely sucks for all of us UM-heads. He was always a main draw of the band and it’s sad to suddenly realize all future dates will be without him.
That said maybe a new drummer can breathe new life into the band and they can benefit from it long term.

If it wasnt for Myers joining the band they would have never gotten good enough for me to care about them and therefore would have never joined bort or met lots of my good friends out on the road
