King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard

Yeah, that middle chart is pretty dead on. I steered my BiL to more of the chill vibes first but that one is a lot more detailed, obvs.

I start people with Nonagon because that’s where I started :man_shrugging:t3:

By far my favorite album by them, and its not even really close.

Idk I really like Nonagon. Might be my fav. Poly is close though.

Butterfly 3000 is my favorite from them in a while, it all just sounds the same.

Poly is easily top 3 for me. But it’s so hard for me to rank albums.

Me too. My favorite since Gumboot Soup definitely. Probably since Poly.

My top 5 are Poly at #1, and then in no particular order Gumboot, Sketches, MOTU, and Nonagon.

How is this for a hot take: I think I like MOTU more than Nonagon

It’s probably the most psychedelic

These all came out since I last listened to them. So, two live and four studio.

Fuckers are ridiculous.

Gizzard doing two different genre based 5 night runs in Aus, this sounds epic. Maybe they’ll do this in the US once they’re allowed back:

Melbourne’s electrifying, eccentric, eclectic and prolific music, film and art collective KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD settle into our venue for a career spanning residency over five nights.

The band will show a different side of their musical personality each night, offering wildly different experiences from nonstop Microtonal cuts to fluid Jams, Garage Rock sing-alongs, Heavy Metal thrash and a stripped back Acoustic experience.

Sounds fucking awesome. My only gripe from the only show I saw a few years ago has how short it was. Just a single set that was barely an hour long, no encore or anything else. They have way too much material to play that short of a set.

Hopefully I’ll actually get to see them at Red Rocks in 2022, three years later.
