Jake to miss 2/26 show

Sound logic lol

If you’ve heard it, you’ll never forget it.

I remember the guy who made the videos, made Dr. Phil look like a jackass on his own show.

Bigger question is did “the band” decide Jake was going on hiatus or did Jake decide this?

jake was def at those 2019 NYC shows (that plunger ) there were the 2017 (?) winter north east shows that were Jakeless with Redman

Yeah it was a 4 show run in Jan 17 that Jake missed through illness, not 2019

Yep Stasik broke his pinky in his fretting hand in July/august 2019. I saw a lot of shows that August.

Wasn’t there some early 22 shows that Jake missed?

He missed 1.27.22 in Newport.

He was missing for a Sweetwater 4/20 fest show in ATL, pretty sure woulda been that year

Is UM normalizing the possibility of a Jakeless future?

The fish is Jake.

This picture would also imply a Scotty-less future. That could be anybody’s right hand

That’s just due to how twitter cuts it down before you click the image

If Jake doesn’t return, will they add another guitarist later?

Logically, you’d think that announcing ter dates, without saying Jake isn’t a part of the band, means that he’s still in the band.

But i can’t shake the fact that BB only did 1 “love you Jake” callout, as that being a sign of things. But, maybe Jake asked to not do that or something.

I was discussing this with someone and his first choice was Brian Moss. I said the new Panic fill in.

I haven’t been plugged into the spring Jake-less tour really but man it feels crazy to think of UM permanently without Myers and Jake. Pretty crazy couple of years of major change after a really long period of lineup stability. The twin guitar attack is such a big thing that drew me to them I’d hope if Jake is out they’d consider replacing him, but I could also see them just sticking with BB as the lone guitarist and would understand. The whole situation kind of bums me out tbh, but it’s also like whatever since the band’s best days are long behind them anyways. Will still support whoever is left in the group when they come by locally.

I would be really sad if musicians left their really good bands to play fake improv with Stasik.

Even though he plays way more like BB than Jake, Rob Compa would be an interesting choice. Dopapod and UM have very similar improv styles, and he’s a big fan of Umphrey’s. Him and Scotty reunited too.
