Jake to miss 2/26 show

The trifecta of songs that I couldn’t escape in the middle of 2010s

a great band from a past part of my life. saw them twice and both times were absolute room-wide (and field-wide in the second case) throwdowns

wow, @digitalbeer - they went ahead and fucked up our Front Porch brotherhood/symmetry by playing it last night. 5/85 now.

Haha that’s wild you reverse jinxed it. They must be lurking this thread. Congrats on leveling up your ratio

Didn’t Jake punch a bum and break his finger in February? Could his absence have to do with the injury and/or possible legal proceedings or repercussions from that incident? Has this been covered here somewhere already? Goblin?

Damn I didn’t know Jake was a part of Daniel Lurie’s security detail.

It was the Wine Not girls bum. Sad story

Exactly

That’s been my thought for a while, but like why not announce that. Hey Jake broke his finger and needs a little bit of time to bring the brimstone back….(insert kb copy pasta here)

I was joking dude, as I assume the OP was as well. Theres a 0% that’s what’s going on

I was half joking. 0% chance? Do tell…

He was SD a two days before a gig.. You don’t miss an entire month of tour bc you have a court date. Come on man. You think the bum got legal representation AND knew who to go after?

I was mostly musing on just recovering a broken hand, not legal stuff

Maybe Jake had an epiphany to stop touring and just fight bums for the rest of his life.

I’ll go on tour for that

He continued playing that tour. And if memory serves stasik had a broken finger a few years ago and missed no time. I don’t know what finger they each fucked up, but if that was the reason, they’d say that was the reason.

Yeah I agree. Maybe he’s doing acid with the Beatles in India and doing some soul searching

Feels like this is the 3rd legit stretch where Jake’s missed multiple shows:

  • Feb 2019 – Northeast run (NYC/BOS/PHL)
Out sick (flu), band rolled as a 5-piece

  • April 2022 – Atlanta (SweetWater 420 + late night)
    Health/well-being break

  • Feb–April 2026 – current tour
    Out for personal reasons (ongoing)

Question for the group:

How does Brendan’s playing this tour compare to those other stretches?

Feels like he’s carrying more of the melodic + lead weight this time vs 2019/2022—but curious what others are hearing.
