the Slyvee isn’t bad at 80% capacity. It doesn’t have any charm but it’s easy to move around in, the sightlines are decent and they have spotted cow on tap. That’s special for us IL folk
Orpheum is obviously 20x better but I don’t really have strong complaints about the Slyvee
My expectations for a venue are extremely low
Have a decent bathroom and bar situation. Have decent enough sound
That is about it
Its crazy how many places fail to live up to those very modest standards
Eh, just looked it up. Nothing I’m interested in seeing until the beat show in November. Lots of live talk shows or legacy acts. And summer is mega empty for what they used to pull in.
Spotted cow is like having Miller lite on tap for us.

Not necessarily, one is a light lager and the other a cream ale. Two entirely different styles of beer.

Sure, they both have relatively low ABV’s and are “easy to drink”. The brewing process, type of yeast, and the brewing process itself is different but sure, both the same.
