Maybe I’m in the minority but I definitely would have gone all 3 nights if Myers was playing. Since he’s not I ended up taking my own gig for New Year’s Eve.
I wouldnt be going regardless of who was playing drums.
That isnt a dig at the band.
I think having already seen 6 shows in 2023 plays into it for me too. But no Myers makes the fomo less substantial for me.
My last show was March 12th. The gap of 292 days between then and 12/29 will be my longest stretch between seeing UM since I started seeing this band in 2005.
I was pretty blown away by this statistic. I’ve been seeing them at a steady pace of every 3-6 months, even during my early years only seeing 2-4 shows all year.
My personal reason for this: I’ve started a family and am spending more time with them, which leaves a lot less for flying around the country to see a run of shows. I think this is the same for a lot of other fans, as Umphreys fanbase is of a certain age for the most part. Probably a contributing factor in the smaller crowds.
Starting a family is far from my reasons for the showcount volatility at this point but I agree. Personally I’m happy with the way my fandom is trending because I’m on the upswing again. 400 by 40 is still within reach.
I really wanted to hit 500 by my 20th Anniversary this summer but Covid made that goal unattainable.
2007? What the fuck? How?
I hope the same man
Trust fund.
lol jk, Dan’s the man.
I sold a lot of patio furniture 2001 through summer of 2006!
Didnt know that about ya
The band was much better back then
Don’t the Belly Up shows pretty much sell out instantly? Looks like you can still get tickets to all 3 nights. Lol UMs.

I can’t wait for Greg to discover this thread
Usually yes, I think there has been a lot of burn out with that run from fans though. Super expensive for a terrible show experience packed in that venue.
They used to be instant sell outs, but tickets also used to be significantly cheaper. I think it’s like $150 a night now.
Show experience sucks when it’s sold out, but lots of room to boogie when the venue is under 80% sold.
Tbh when I was picking my winter 24 run dates, I decided the NC/VA run was better for the same amount of money. I ain’t no skier or snowboarder, the fuck aspen got for me eh? Been through aspen once, on the way to Woody Creek Tavern and to see HST’s place.
Really glad I made that choice on the NC/VA run.
