Has UM's popularity declined?

Jokes aside it’s a new venue that I haven’t been to. I haven’t been out in Newport for quite some time but that area has a ton of bars and stuff. It’s like it’s own little town kind of. @AlexTheDictator may know better than me.

If you get in early and looking for stuff to do during the day the aquarium is right there and pretty decent

Dopapod seemed to have their best selling tour yet. Goose was selling out pretty big rooms.

Does a low sold show event guarantee a throw down anymore?

Not necessarily. This summer we got a second set Whistle Kids at an undersold Sunday show in Des Moines.

It was still fun, and my favorite show of that run. Awesome venue with a fire schwarma truck and super stiff drinks.

They were pouring absolute facemelters. I was trying to keep up with the bartenders who were also hammered

Fuck there was a schwarma truck? I missed out

Sold out UM usually turns into a rawk fest. It’s like they want to pretend they’re AC/DC or something. They feel obligated to shred and play theatrics to wow the crowd instead of getting deep into improv or their catalog.

Billy, Panic, and goose all packed buildings during fall ter. It seems like bands like umphreys, lotus, and Greensky didn’t sell nearly as well.

Pretty sure it was this truck.

Jellyfish exhibit is well curated. Last time I went it was a bit pricey for what it is but it’s a good way to kill an hour or two
