The Pageant will always have a special place in my heart. I saw the “Nightwatchman” open up for Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals. If you bought the Nightwatchman’s new album, you got to meet Tom Morello. It was awesome to just say thanks for his music as a young lad. That being said. I almost got my ass kicked by a 5’ security guard cause I was smoking weed during “Burn One Down” in the front row. Being a teenager rulez!
That’s why the north east took on the label “show ruiners”.
I have lots of crash space at my house if you want to go to the riverside show.
Appreciate the offer!
I’d return the offer for First Ave but I may be in northern WI that day. Waiting to hear back on how that situation plays out.
I love the blue echo. Short but it gets you there
.
I don’t know much about minny but I feel like there has to be better venues to play other than the First Ave
You must’ve not been present when I was walking into the beacon theater with bottles of jack in my jacket pocket.
No idea why they aren’t playing the Palace in St. Paul.
Because they’re umphreys. They’ll be doing NYE runs at The Aragon in 2030
They played there in 2017 and 2018. Don’t think the ‘18 shows sold well.
I’ve always wanted to see a show at First Ave
I like it more than most borters. I’m gonna JarJar the men’s room so hard.
It’s got a ton of awesome history that’s for sure. Just sucks when it’s oversold
I like it a bit more ever since they flipped that right staircase to the right direction. Still gets way too crowded in there when it’s (over)sold out but I’m guessing that won’t happen. Going from 2xPalace to 1xFirst Ave is not progression.
Also helps that they aren’t as big of douchebags when it comes to smoking pot. I remember they always had someone posted up on the stairs looking for people smoking and pointing them out with flashlights. Then you get dragged.
First Ave is where I first saw UM 2008… those were the days.
when first ave gets too crowded on the floor, i like to whip out my dick and do the helicopter to make space.
The Surly outdoor lawn space would have made perfect sense, and it’s managed by First Avenue.
