I don’t hate it but it’s a weird encore/closer.
There’s so many cooler songs they coulda put in the encore at the 25th show at the cap last year
It’s a great tune, I think of the light rain falling in Dillon when they played this one. Good times, good song

Idk, I feel like it works really well in the closing slot. As FFM, hits me in the feels. But shit like this only works as a cool down after slaying.
This was also different than a regular show obviously. But it doesnt mean they can’t cut some of it and let some shit breathe.
Even with the new shit, I feel like this show could’ve been great cutting 3 or 4 songs and letting some of those jams (NN, Mantis, Sweetness) breathe

Similar feel to jam ending this Reso, my all time favorite, Joel lead in, with a linear build. Jake didn’t go overboard until he needed to and that was a perfect drop into Eminence Front.

I think for some throwaway shows that a bunch of us didn’t know was happening, it’s exceeding my expectations. Nice to know they’re not going into the NYE run rusty.

Night two was a blast, much rowdier crowd than Tuesday. Was behind the sleepy guy and me and my wife were cracking tf up watching him nod. Mantis woke him up for a bit, the jam put him back to sleep, then he’d suddenly snap out of it and immediately begin his head bobs. Too funny
One thing we noticed last night was Joel really takes a lot of cues from Stasik throughout, got to be a layering thing right? Joel’s looking for the bass line/chords and adding some texture on top
Out of Focus and Concessions were both super cleaned up, making all four stew songs over the last two nights a lot tighter. I’ve got to believe that all of them will be on the album they’re recording. I know it’s already been released as a single, but I feel like Staircase belongs on the album too. Fingers crossed they do Things I’d Like to Lose tonight, that one 100% belongs on the album
I think that I liked Pure Saturation, Night Nurse, and Famtachments best from a jam perspective. I noticed Tuesday isn’t up on nugs, just the video, so hoping they release em as they normally would
Overall, very glad we did this instead of the 28/29th in Denver. Walkable from home and interesting and unique experience. Wish we were going tonight even though I’m fucking exhausted. Every time I think I can skip shows because we’ve been doing this for 15 years or whatever, they suck me back in

Glad to see that you’re having fun. I’m definitely into the idea that they’re making an album with their Stew concepts, but my only complaint is there is one is, I still think Concessions can be pared down a little bit more.
