I don’t think I’ve ever had an issue with any Wisconsin venue staff besides the stupid fucking eagles ballroom, and that was just my insulin. Fuck that place

Rave/Eagles ballroom security was always terrible. they hated the jam scene and made life miserable for people going to those shows. pat-downs were always over the top which caused long lines to get in. zero tolerance for any drug use inside. fuck that place

I never went to the Rave/Eagles shows for one reason or another.
I remember at the ‘09 Barrymore run, security saw the door to the handicap bathroom open and 5 dudes and a bunch of smoke flowing out. They just laughed and walked away.

I could only swing 2/4 shows due to midterms but I had so much fun that weekend.
Also had my first scrambler from Mickeys Dairy Bar that weekend which was a #milestone.

I was sitting in the last row of the balcony with my buddy smoking bowls since he wasn’t feeling good and I watched some dude in a fairy outfit pin his hopefully girlfriend against the wall and started banging her for a moment then never saw them again. Place was a reckless mad house and was only my 2nd show at the time.
I was so young and naive at the time, I miss those times. Fairy outfit man if you are out there or on here, thank you for burning that image in my head the rest of my life.

If I had seen this, I probably would’ve had a brief thought that he was an actual fairy and disappeared back to fairy realm. No other logical explanation.

I saw the first time they played at the sylvee. Liked that venue! Puked in a Culver’s the next day to get the real Wisconsin experience.

somebody at this venue gets off on knowing everybody has to navigate that ridiculous staircase.
the top of these stairs were the “smoking section” yet when the show was over the weren’t let people from the second floor out the door and down the stairs. they had to navigate that tiny staircase in the middle of the place with everybody else in the venue.
