Chugging UM / Metal UM

So I’m having a tough time putting together a metal playlist that doesn’t repeat what’s been listed here. That said I’ll work on a different pook’s picks playlist. Great stuff posted here though!

Finally relistening to 03/14/18 Synco. Let me know what you think.

Actually nevermind, this doesn’t go very far.

I’ve listened to that one before. The synco > pig > Synco is pretty good but not impressive in the metal chug department

2005-2006 is the best stretch for industrial e-drum. Love this one!

2004-08-06 Sociable
2007-03-01 Tinkle’s
2007-03-24 Padgett’s
2007-11-17 Dump City
2008-04-02 Eat
2008-11-20 Ocean Billy

Half are shoo-in metal jams the others are debatable I guess

3/20/14 Padgett’s. Wait, they jammed out Padgett’s in 2014, you say? Yes, yes, they did. And you need to hear it.

That’s on one of the pook’s picks playlists. I believe @WhoDatVols recommended this if my old man memory serves

The Syncopated and ITK from this show are solid as well

Edit: also the AIT

Its great, but jts a repeat jam from the riveria 14 Phil’s. I’m kind of partial to that version but they’re both awesome.

5/30/08 hbb is great metal um. A must listen as far as metal jams go

Any other good metal UM sets? Just got nugs for the first time, so asking for myself.

Oh good. We were worried you were asking for a friend.

This is one of my favorite shows ive been to with UM. Second set in person was intense, like they flipped a switch at set break.

Thanks for the tips folks, keep em comin if you have em.

That’s funny. I had to pick MMJ this weekend in Palo Alto or Umphrey’s in Reno next month. Picked the latter so probably picked wrong

100% picked wrong

I’ve developed a preference for empty rooms over packed amphitheaters I guess.
