I guess I shouldn’t look for things to get annoyed by, but I’m overwhelmed by Helene woe - so I’m once again finding much of the Billy fanbase to be insufferable
there’s so much white knighting and toxic positivity over any criticism or complaint
every show is the best ever
no discussion of his ticket prices

and now, renewal - someone scheduled it or allowed the schedule to proceed as planned - a festival focused around him, where his wife was going into labor across the country. that’s insanely negligent! and they weren’t clear about it beforehand
now it’s cancelled and people are sucking him off about it
“oh, billy is such a great guy for cancelling. he’s one of a kind!”
I bet that Colorado law about concert refunds played a big role. I bet people disputing credit card charges played a big role.
and shit, i love billy strings. i’m really excited to listen to the billy-less shows.

Yeah, I had to go back and read that that entire tl;dr rant to determine that if he didn’t get something back he would dispute the charges.
I figured Billy would have issued some sort of credit for free tickets on a future tour, but can also imagine that would be a logistical nightmare.
Chef kiss that the folks disputing charges won’t receive a refund, because undoubtedly some won’t get refunded due to their financial institutions,. particularly if they used debit cards.

Three night run at Ball Arena is absolutely wild. Saw him at an 800 person venue 4 years ago.
