I get into things for free at this compound of venues thing in Atlanta. Last night while at Mildlife there was a poppy edm thing called Laszewo in the next room, so I popped in when they started. It was really bad. Pretty sure the two dudes were pretending to play stuff live with their electronic things. Seemed like the only thing being performed live were from the lady on vocals. It was weird. Cheesy stuff too.
Iām at an italo disco party. Itās very nice
Okie dokie. Going to hear Carl Craig in a bit. Never seenāt 'em.
Lots of good sound systems here in the A.
Shit is boring. Shouldāve stayed at the italo disco party.
The first 2 hours of this 10 hour Funk Assault mix are pretty awesome. Loving the house and excited for them to go full hard groove techno
Also the Chris Stussy essential mix from a couple weeks ago is pretty awesome for minimal groovy tech house
Give the KOLTER essential mix a go around. Deep minimal groovy beats from Germany I believe.
Really liked this one from the start, only about 2 hours in. Very playa progressive (obvi)
Also, sent this album to Dutchman and he gave it
out of 5.
Iām big on Kolter! Heās one of the best in the current minimal tech scene thatās popping off right now.
Check out this mix he did for Chris Stussyās label. One of my favorites of the year. Will definitely give the essential mix a spin too!
NICE! My buddy opened for him a couple years ago and has been all about since.
I seriously only know disclosure and prydz
Orbital are some OGs! The live shows clops Iāve seen from this year look really tight. Youād definitely recognize the vocals on this track:
Sammy Virji is an up and coming UK garage and house DJ thatās soooo hot right now. Pumped to see him. Bummed Iām missing the 2 hour Carl Cox set Saturday night though
Well duh I know orbital. I have seen Hackers lol.
Fucking BANGER tune
Been listening to these Day Trip 2024 sets Beatport posted recently. This Ben Sterling mix is great if you like the minimal tech stuff from Stussy/Kolter/Bibi
Max Styler is one of my favorites in ~ tech house ~ right now. This hour long mix packs a punch
Pretty cool. I just skimmed through that to see what he plays. A bunch of those songs sound really old. Some of it sounded like old euro tracks you hear in clips of 90s euro raves in the Netherlands or Belgium. At least thatās what it reminded me of. Just needs to pitch down a bit.
Interesting. My 90s dance anthem knowledge is very limited but I could see it.
Loving this wave of guys like him, Mall Grab, DJ Boring, partiboi69 to a certain degree and a few others providing this techno alternative to the really hard or really boring stuff (in my opinion)
Listened to this on my trail run today. It hit perfect
Love to hear it. Locks into some great grooves
