Darkside is ok but I prefer solo Jaar. Saw him headline Decibel in Seattle twice and was blown away by his soundscapes. I saw Darkside in Portland once and it was super tight but it was a 300 person room and just didn’t have the same vibe that his solo sets had. Both Boiler Rooms are on my most watched though. I’d definitely check out a Darkside reunion.

I treat them very differently in my head. If I had to choose one it’d prob be solo. Seen him solo 3 times - all absolutely mind blowing. Seen Darkside once and it was quite good but not transcendental like the others
darkside still about as good as it gets for the genre tho
He’s just an all around genius and legend. Some of his edits are the hottest
I’m still kicking myself for not seeing Jaar during a sxsw one of the first years I lived in Austin.
I tried to get into his Fader Fort set in 2011 and it was damn near impossible. Pretty sure i ended up at a Tycho show instead. SXSW is awesome like that.
Never heard of Jaar or Darkside.

Update: really fun, played some 90s house, some techno, and the flavor of the month tech house. Crowd got so much better once 2am hit
