Interesting song selection for 1st set

Hiccup and Hourglass had the big improv chunks of the set. Short jam in BTL as well. Smooth → segue into Fussy. My first time seeing Power to Soul so that was a treat. Dear Lord was a 40th birthday request for someone. No jam in Milk.

Thought that might’ve been my favorite set of the weekend even though it was songy. Some rarities, a couple strong jams and well played all around.

My first time in the pit in soooo long, and only because there’s so much room. Under 1,000 people in here for sure, balcony is closed.

It’s surprising to me the Maine crowds have been small the past two State Theatre shows. I believe the Biscuits had a good crowd in March and Goose filled out Thompsons Point in June. How was the crowd at Hampton Beach last night?

Had no idea you were out for the run. Would’ve loved to meet up in CT. Looks like a fun one though

HBC felt like the biggest crowd of the 3 shows this weekend so far. I will say that what the Portland crowd lacked in size, they made up for in pure energy. Rowdy bunch.

Likewise man! I’ll have to get back out here for some NE SFs next time.

Really enjoyed this show tonight. Goat and Phil’s were my highlights of Set 2. Bath had a very short 1st jam and a little extra in the 2nd slot but nothing crazy. They really milked the ending though which was fun. Divisions got a little treatment in the encore… really thoughtful of the UM guys to close the show with Divisions, the first tune I ever saw live, on the 19th anniversary of my 1st show.

Show’s up.

3 nights into a run without ITK, AIT, Puppet, Bridgeless, JaJunk, Slacker, Plunger, and Wappy being played yet is kinda the most impressive thing to me so far

Hourglass is aight. BtL is pretty cool especially the return back into it.

2nd set was pretty solid. Booth → Fame was well done, but I like Fame and I’m probably biased.

Divisions was pretty sweet. Love when it isn’t drum’d

Liking the Looks (JO) of all these shows this weekend :metal:t4:

Well now I know what I’m getting tonight lol, at least four of those will easily get played I bet

And you’ll probably get a Nurse too lol. I’m feeling DBK tonight.

Maybe they’ll bust out a Full Frontal and a Ninja for good measure

Nachos For Two bust out.

Confession- I’ve never heard this song before, only know that it’s super rare/retired. Are there any songs with a Nachos yam?

This is a pretty good escape goat

Hiccup → Fussy is buttery goodness!

Sweet Child ‘O Mine tease in HBB.

The enthusiasm for UM seems to be at an all time low but from listening to bits and pieces of these shows they seem to be playing rather well.

Hiccup → Fussy is just a really nice segment. That super extended segue is absolutely lovely, band just sounds relaxed.

Yea I’ve to 3/4s of this show thus far and it’s pretty hawt. Opening Hiccup jam is a nice groove they latch onto, def gets taken for a good ride. The ~> Fussy is stellar, absolutely buttah. Hourglass jam they really take off to another level, 2 sections and the > Power 2 Soul is pretty solid, love a Jimi cover. Dear Lord is a true treat, Happy 40! > BtL is really well done, classic intro so a big fan of that. Cool little jam in there as well.

HBB is a great set opener, this one is solid. It’s not the goat, but I applaud the efforts. Really dig the country extended little sumsum they added at the end there. EG has a beautiful dance stew that ya think is gonna end then they add a little more to the jam before the > Kula. Def a fun 1, 2 punch. Glad they threw down this weekend
