This year has been every bit as good as 2019, IMO. Just wish i would have cared more then.
Idk that I agree. Maybe similar highs, but 2019 was more consistent imo
I would argue Summer Camp as the turning point
I posted this in Winter Tour thread, but 2019 highlights pound for pound easily clear 2023:
Was going to say that January 2023 might rival January 2019 for hottest UM start in recent years but after going through the short list of 2019 jams without listening, still think 2019 takes the cake pretty easily:
January 2019:
- 1/11 Mantis (Richmond)
- 1/12 OB (Richmond)
- 1/16 August (Jam Cruise)
- 1/18 Attachments (Cincinnati)
- 1/19 Draco (Cincinnati)
- 1/25 Kitchen (Milwaukee)
- 1/25 HBB (Milwaukee)
- 1/26 U Fir (Milwaukee)
- 1/31 Robot World (New Haven)
Could DC Milk, Philly Silent Type, Cap Escape Goat, Cleveland U Fir + Wappy rival these? I think with the Richmond and Riverside runs of '19, thereās more to dig into. Interesting tho
Also the boys were buzzing at Dillon
Jams that really stood out on that list @WhoDatVols posted
1/14 Silent Type
1/29 Wappy
2/24 AiT (doesnāt have this one posted)
100%
2019 was way better imo. Thereās only been a few great jams this year and only 1 great show.
why jam no peak?
You dont like this one?
Thought it was alright, just didnāt really feel like it did much of anything
Fair enough. Dont think it would make my top-5 or anything, but i like it.
Ait jam was cooking but didnāt quite get there. Solid B+
1/12 GYM is easily top 3 of the year
03/02 - Spires, Kabump
03/03 - WTWIRD
My top 10 so far. Not in order
01/12 - GYM (RH)
01/14 - The Silent Type
01/27 - Mantis
01/29 - Utopian Fir
01/29 - Wappy Sprayberry
02/04 - Draconian (growing on me)
02/23 - BLBC
02/24 - All In Time
03/02 - Spires
03/03 - WTWIRD
02/25 - Mantis could edge out Draconian maybe. 02/23- Attachments, too
If we were still doing UMGoldās w/ @Puddy, Mantis would be MVP through the first quarter of the year.
Silent Type
Small strides has had some good versions too
1/29 Wappy goes hard in the paint bros. Around the 9 min mark. The jam flies into orbit
