I was at the 12/29/11 show then went to bisco in Chicago the following 2 nights.

Yea, a lot of folks i knew did that. I had a room at Moonrise so just rode the high of being able to look out my window to see how long the line to get in was.
I wouldnt be surprised if they come back down here for some future NYE run. Not sure it would be the Pageant, but maybe Factory in Chesterfield. GSBG was supposed to do NYE there last year. Deadmau5 is doing NYE this year. Pretty safe market for them as well.

I’d love for them to do a multi-night run at The Factory (only 20m from my house!) but the capacity there is 3k and The Pageant is 2k. Umphrey’s hasn’t sold out The Pageant in a long time so I don’t see them jumping to a bigger venue in the StL market. Goose on the other hand…

Dunno if it’s my mindset but UM Bowl DBK and Front Porch are both fun as hell, and worthy of JOTY status. Well… the DBK at least.

I think the front porch had the best 1-2min segment of anything in umbowl but it took a while to find it’s footing and there was a decent amount of miscommunication leading up to it

Both are great. Will probably vote for the 8/24 Dayville for HOF. Really hope that sticks around as a jam vehicle

I’ve been listening to the NYE run. Fir, IC-> Junk, and Dump City are pretty worthy of JOTY contenders. Fir especially with the 2 good jams.
Dump was probably my favorite jam of the two nights but I still have to do a relisten of 12/30.
Hopefully this means that it’ll be released this year sometime.
