I liked the first set a lot. Probably my favorite Raw Stewage (on par with Vegas year one that had Non-Compliance, Draconian, Stinko’s etc…
I agree that Unevolved tackled too many jams but as long as the 4/14/07 Bridgeless portion remains in rotation I will be a happy camper. That is one of favorite all time UM jams and worked well in this context.
After listening, I feel that they had a fairly good weekend. My only complaint for RS was too much vocal stews, only cuz I cannot understand lyrics due to my hearing loss lol. My top picks were Small Strides, DBK, Front Porch, and appreciating Bayliss’ “getting away from the kids” lol.
When you consume all those umphrey’s jams in the last 12 years like I personally have, it hits different to see them reworked and brought back in a live setting. Doesn’t mean the DBK wasn’t the highlight of the run though
Was with a good amount of people who dont memorize previous years stews and just went into this run blind, and they were blown away by the raw stewage set as well.
Maybe it was a you had to be there thing. But I’ve seen Hangover/DBK/2x2 dozens of times…the Raw Stew set was thrilling and totally unique and the band absolutely nailed the execution of both music and vocals.
Yea, a lot of live music moments dont necessairly come through on the audio. Fine set for Raw Stewage with well executed lego pieces, just was expecting more based on comments. Then i listened to Friday set 1 right after and was back in my 2022 hype mode.
Those are from ATU. It’s supposed to be from May 2011 at Boondock but they didn’t give the day of the month and the band didn’t stream a show or anything from there back then so I dunno.
