Suxity is awful but it was over 8 minutes and probably 60%+ jam.
I’ve definitely seen that movie multiple times and didn’t make that connection. Does Marky mark get my Boston asshole card because of that?
Man I kinda like Suxity
Pop a peak on that bad boy and it’s JOTY for me
Kinda agree. The studio cut is good.
I do too
Right. So bad! And again re: Phil’s…wish it would’ve been red tape.
What’s up Paul!?!
Whats up dude! Are we gonna ride the charter bus to the resort again this Holidaze or what?
All the way from Pine Knob

The Similar Skin > Tribute has been getting lots of replays from me. It reminds me a little of Kabump > Sociable Jimmy 2/1/2020 just in the sense that it’s a jam heavy segue in set 1 that doesn’t necessarily have a soaring peak but establishes really cool themes.
Also the Triple Wide is downright gorgeous. Definitely one of my favorite jams from this tour
Anybody know what the main riff in this tribute is a repeat from?
it just reminds me of a much heavier version of the My Name is Mud teases they used to do in Ringo sometimes
fucking sick jam though.
So, I finally took the time to listen to parts of this show. I had a blast at the show, and was very content w/how it played out for the most part.
Still pumped to have gotten the SF2, but obv would’ve liked some great improv in Phil’s. They could’ve thrown in some extra before going into the SF2, but oh well.
The SS, Tribute & 3X are def the stars, and I still enjoyed the jam in Divisions, but I will absolutely admit that I was just taken by surprise at the show when they started that chunk of improv, especially since I feel like it’s been years since I’ve seen any unique improv in Divisions. That being said, it’s a nice little dance groove & isn’t anything too special, but I will still have fond memories of the moment, as it totally caught me off guard. I was expecting just a typical run through, especially given the chunks of improv earlier in the show.
The jams in this show are quite unique. Like you said, that is not the jam you expect out of Divisions, such a dark slinky groove and it really melts into Fussy perfectly.
The Triple Wide jam is probably the one jam that has stuck with me the most from 2021 so far. The 2nd half of that jam really has a chill vibe, you don’t often hear Joel on piano + Kris e-drum combination and it should happen more often.
That reminds me of the “Acoustic Improvisation” from Live At The Murat; the intial groove they land on with Kris on the e-drum & Joel on piano is fantastic. I really enjoy that one, so I’ll have to listen to this Triple Wide more closely later on today. I recall enjoying the jam, but I don’t recall the specifics; gonna que it&& crank it up on the commute home today
Best Triple Wide in a while
I love this Triple Wide as well and have listened to it a bunch. Definitely one of my favorite jans from 2021 so far…
