What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills.

I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words.

You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands.

Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue.

But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it.

12/28/19 Nemo & Mantis. 7min jams that are fantastic. Good improv doesn’t have to go on forever!

6/5/08 says otherwise!

Oh nah wait those jams are pretty overrated actually. You’re right

There’s some serious mush in that IC jam. The Jake peak toward the end is some of his best work but the whole first theme is kind of boring and the Synco teases are cool but go on waaaaaay too long

I feel like UM has an improv sweet spot around the 8 min mark

9 is the money spot IMO but the <8 mark is where they tend to have the best thematic stuff

I enjoyed these both, good recs.

I really love this style of UM in the first Nemo jam. Building, piano driven, major key, patience from Jake. Then the shift into the minor key section with some cool xfiles sounding effects from Joel over that Police-esque riff from Jake. Good stuff.

I haven’t listened to any 2019 UM - is there a comprehensive list like the old Bort had of UMGold? I loved seeing the top jams but other noteworthy gems folks shared.

I don’t think we did an umgold for 2019, but if you scroll up to the top of this thread there’s a few pretty good nugs playlists of 2019 jams

I made it a few tracks in over the summer and sadly had to go back to work before I could finishing cutting out the songs. Thanks for the reminder I will try to at least get 10 or so tracks done and upload a volume 1

Those mixes are the best. The only thing I have on my iTunes right now is the 2010 summer mix that someone made on bort 2.0.

7/19 bridgeless has a few parts that sound like the chorus Last Surprise from the persona 5 OST. Can’t imagine that it was intentional but still dig that.

I remember that first set being pretty solid in general

I’ve really been digging Fort Wayne 2/21. Great IDM to open, HBB > Steppin Razor > HBB is pretty fun, and the All in Time encore has some great jams and teases thrown in. Song selection is good throughout

I went back this weekend and today and listened to RRX '19, figured I’d give my thoughts on the relisten since idk what else to do with them;

  • Nothing all too special about night 1, the #5 and CW2 were both cool but overall nothing really to write home about, 6/21 gets a C from me
  • Night 2 set 2 is by far the bright spot in this whole run for me, with the Attachments > 2x2 being phenomenal and the Turkuaz horns actually being pretty good with the jams. Also the U Fir > Fuzz and Jeff Austin tribute make the standalones in set 1 bareable, 6/22 gets a A- from me
  • As someone who saw the Bonham LZ thing at Lockn, it’s pretty cool in the moment but provides little to no replay value and I got the same gist from this. Also the “four song” set does little to nothing for me. Blue Echo in set 1 was short but sweet, 6/23 gets a C- from me

End brain dump
