Ugh. What bummer. I know they have their own schedules, but I’m sure they are going to lose a bit of revenue making this change. I already took next Friday off to enjoy Thursday. Also, I hate the idea of all of the gimmicks and fan voting. tDB being free, not having to deal with voting or having them put together a shitty set list based on bad votes (UM that is), and tDB playing at the Ardmore vs. UM at Kris’s makes this an easy call.

Regarding the impact of fan votes, do you really think they’ll honor even half of those requests, collectively? I’m feeling very skeptical because I see people voting for rarities that they don’t play frequently. Hope I’m wrong because I’d love to hear songs like Rocker, Visions, EotR, etc.

Yeah historically these ballots are viewed as strong suggestions, but if they don’t feel like playing something they’re not going to play it.
