the pro move is staying in carbondale or basalt. the hotels are a bit cheaper and that valley has a really good transit system. the bus is pretty much just UM people after the show so it’s a fun ride
No dates within 8 hours of me, and probably going to miss my first Belly Up shows in 10 years.
At least my wallet will be happy.
I’d recommend “The Little Nell” for accommodations. Both are right on the slopes, but you need to take a (free) bus from the venue if staying at the ritz.
They are going to have 26 guest drummers and then Shapiro will fuck a cake side stage during encore.
Stoked they are playing SF this time through the Bay. The Warfield was the first venue I saw them out here at for Halloween 2008. The venue in LA is brand new so that’s exciting. Pretty happy with these dates. Going to try to get back east for Brooklyn or Philly. The PacNW run is perfect this year for anyone looking to make the trek this routing is very friendly. A two hour and 2.5 hour drive between the three cities. I’m going to try to do the eight shows out west next year for sure. I appreciate the early drop again too because it gives me more to look forward to for longer. That slow dopamine drip that comes along with the opportunity to +4 your show count a few times.
I’ll do my one flight trip for UM in the 2nd half of 2024. Goal is to see 10 UM shows next year, only 8 this year bc of bad timing for their SE run in August.
You should go to Philly, man. Why go to Brooklyn, when you can go to the Brooklyn Bowl in Philly? ![]()
Would 100% be in for TN Theater. Mill & Mine blows, would go if it was a weekend but not taking time off for a Thursday show in a shitty venue
10/23/19 Robot World still fux though
Yeah thats one of the better jams ive seen live. But no way I’m going back to that shit hole. Especially in Knoxville. Probably the worst UM crowd I’ve ever seen.
I dont understand why the dont play TN theater anymore. Fucking loved that being an annual stop.
I miss the pre-Covid nicer venues UM used to play.
They play better in the shittier venues tbh
Also they shred in shitty weather
They also shred when they have to shit
+1 for CLT, Raleigh, and Knox
I saw them two nights at the bijou some year back in the day (08?) only time I’ve seen a show in TN but they were fun shows and the venue was dece.
Is that venue in the knox mix still?
Been too “small” for them for many years now but honestly if their ticket sales keep tanking it could come back around, ha. Pretty sure it’s like 800 cap. So many great venues are just out of reach after the pandy.
That 11/18/08 show is legendary
