Yeah, and I’m not 100% sure what he had done. But if was major labral repair, I’m not sure he’s playing any of these shows. Or maybe a show here or there.
The Jan/Feb slate of shows seems impossible to me. Maybe they are hoping for him to be good on the backend. All conjecture at this point though.
Harper came back early from TJ and is CRUSHING it, so maybe Meyers will tap into his inner Bryce.

100%. they probably noticed ticket sales were down for this most recent tour so they’ll announce the replacements as late as possible.

Why no TN theater anymore? The Mill&Mine sucks so much. So does the Fillmore and the Ritz. Richmond and the National are both dope, but its a Sunday night. Probably out for all of this.

Way easier if not a poor. Rarely able to swing that one but considering this year. Its a long drive from denver…4.5 or so hours I think (6 from me). Lodging in aspen during prime snow season isnt exactly cheap. Venue is nuts to butts.
If you have a trust fund i suggest flying directly in to aspen on a private plane and booking a room at the ritz. I will crash on your floor and your jet can scoop me from the denver airport

I love the beacon but yeah that’s a solid 3 nighter that I’d be pumped about if I still lived there.
Not jealous of whatever bullshit gimmick they’ll pull on Sunday for their birthday though

Its such a double edged sword, ya know?? We critique them for “bs gimmicks” && believe you me, I was folding my arms @thefrascodisaster thing, so I def get where you’re coming from.
On the flip side, we aaaalways mention that while the formula works, once you learn the dance… it becomes predictable. So that, in turn, becomes less enjoyable due to being jaded. Part of what makes UM great is their willingness to go for it, go for the HR, or pitch a curveball that wows you for the fact that it caught you off-guard.
So the gimmicks are 1 way they try to have a little fun with it(remember that?!), they just have to stumble across a clever one. I believe they still have a lot of creativity in the band and the team they have around them (insert KB jab __). They can’t all be HRs and all-in-all I like they’re trying something different.
This year I believe for the bands Bday, it was Joels Bday as well so the improv was fanfuckingtastic, the shows were good-great the whole weekend imho.
Part of what keeps me going is they still do that for me at least a couple times during a given show and that’s encouraging to see
TL; dR: UM does their best to be innovative&they still are in many ways. Please don’t recreate the 2018 Beacon Sunday show
