Crazy storm rolling through SoCal right now and I was on my way from San Diego to Anaheim when traffic came to a dead stop and nobody across all the northbound lanes moved for 5min. Then my eta to the brewery I was heading to went from 5:10 to 6, then 6:30, then 6:45 (it was 4:45 and I was 20mi away) but then things started moving and it went back to 5:15…#blessed
Sorry for the person that spun out and slammed into the wall on the right shoulder like 2mi down the road, but also learn how to drive properly in pouring rain
Also not going to vegas…worried about the “severe” blizzard warnings because my SoCal ass has never driven in snow, and I don’t own chains, and there’s various reports of Cal Trans closing major highways and turning people around…not the weekend to drive to vegas at 11pm after a show
I wonder if the band will call off Vegas…its happened to Tahoe shows years ago bc of snow shutting down Mtn passes…
It’d be the smart call tbh. Read it was the first time in history San Bernardino county has declared a blizzard warning. Not sure the highest elevation those highways hit but they’re projecting 1-2 feet of snow at 2500, 3-4 at 2500-5000, and 4-8 at certain mountain regions…ngl though we need that shit, they no longer want you to say we’re in a drought because it’s been that way every year for a couple decades, it’s now “aridification”.
