Umphrey’s At The Drive Inn

Get a beer helmet and run the straw under your mask.

Or do some dumb shit like this:

@jwelsh8 Serious question, can we leave our cars overnight if we have tickets in the same area both nights? I’m assuming not but Would be nice to stumble to the hotel instead of driving out both nights.

Highly doubt that

Very excited about these didn’t think I would see anymore music this year. With these and Billy September is looking like the best month of the COVID days (and my son was born in March)

Also doubt it for this event, but it was an option for the Magic Beans drive-in shows here in CO and a lot of people took advantage of it.

Damn kb probably wishing he thought about monetizing that option

Damn really? That would be tight.

Damn, @jwelsh8 I’ll pay extra for that option! $5 each night though, no more.

Yeah man, this is the first time ive been excited about something since my euro trip got cancelled in March, the travel orders from Trump came literally 30 minutes after our plane took off.

You just have to order two Ubers, have Uber driver #1 drive your car to the hotel while Uber Driver #2 follows, then #2 picks up #1 and drives them back to their car in the parking lot. Simple, done it a million times…

Got way in the back Section C for N1 and Section A for N2…looking forward to this even though we know we will get treated to a standardtown Chicago setlist!!

Might get lucky since they should be feeling loose from the VIP jam and some s2 segments the days before. I would not go in with high expectations considering what usually goes down in Chicago over the last 8 years, but hey, I will play the optimist.

That’s easily the most optimistic thing I’ve read you post man

These shows are gonna suck 100%, can’t wait. See y’all there

Ha! Yeah, exactly they might be pretty fresh! Since most of us pretty much wrote off even getting another show this year, I really do not give a damn what they play.

Ha, you must not visit the Doniac Schvice or Untz report. I was also a huge UM fluffer prior to 2014 when the wheels fell off. I gave 2019 its proper love as well. Not cshore level love, but the justified amount.

Yep, that is my view. I am still not 100% I can go because I have some prior obligations I need to get out of, but if I do go I don’t give a fuck how good it is. It is live music with my friends and BYOB. The second night would be 200 for me as well, and I personally think that would be just about the coolest/weirdest show to experience for the milestone.

If anyone has an extra seat for this wook I would gladly take that spot*

*Implied infinite doobies and jokes.

Set I: Get in the Van > N2F (35 mins), Utopian Fir > Thin Air

Set II: ChicagoOOooOO, No Diablo > Whistle Kids, Day Nurse > Upward > Seasons, Suxity > Roctopus

Encore: Labor Day in Quarantine

I like Phish enough, not enough to say anything beyond a casual fan but I respect and enjoy them I just don’t go out of my way for them like I do for UM. I know you like your Biscuits and I do as well, I lurk around The Untz to see where the good shows/segments are since I’m not super fluent in Untz so I go to people who know better than I.

I get that you’re just a little bit jaded and not a huge fan of UM’s direction nowadays lol I just wanted to poke @ ya
