I wonder how this breaks down? 300k+ in revenue. Hopefully team UM gets a huge chunk of this but I’m sure overhead is huge considering all of the logistics.
Some guy in VFJ just asked for a Chicagoan to DD him and 4 of his friends because they miss RAWKing too much and need to party/see their favorite band.
Also saw some girl spreading false info that the Chicago quarantine order requires you to quarantine for 14 days prior to arriving in Chicago from a designated hotspot (it’s when you arrive for 14 days or the duration of your trip if less than 14). While the order is strictly for Chicago and not all of IL, the venue literally borders city limits.
If you don’t want to drive me and my friends that’s fine, I’ll ask my mom. Just don’t put me on blast.
That thread is garbage. There are also multiple Covid deniers in the comments.
I have that page muted (obviously) and wanted to check out what was being discussed yesterday. Saw the COVID denier chick this morning

This was in UM Discussion not V4J but some guy was asking for travel advice from people who live in Illinois. He wasn’t thrilled when I gave him shit for skipping google and IL based government sites and going to UM Discussion. His post was shortly deleted after that, lol. Sometimes I forget how stupid the general population is.
I called out the girl giving fake advice and then posted the chicago.gov link to the guidelines. Now I’ve got some dude sending me DMs wanting to ask questions about Chicago protocol.
This is why I never associate with that group and the one time I try to help, and am instantly reminded why I don’t.
They’re both train wrecks that I can’t help but look at, I always get some irrationally annoyed by it too, it’s like an addiction. Thankfully we have the bort where actual discussion about the band happens.

Lol, he’s my ultimate love hate relationship. He’s very…eccentric, full of himself and can be annoying but I’ve had some good talks/times with him over the years. He would def give anyone the shirt off his back but yes, very over the top.
lol no, he’s an admin of the group. I don’t know him personally and his whole persona annoys me but otherwise seems like a nice guy. I was referring to some other dude using “retard” as an insult and complaining about political correctness.

I deleted it off my phone, which has been nice. I still check it on my computer, though. I got on today because of kramm’s post, and sure as shit, I made my first few VFJ comments in awhile. It sucks you right in.
There were some dumbass comments on the UM fb post announcement for it. Some girl in Chicago was complaining about adding more shows cause she can’t make it.
That whole thread was great reading material on the can this morning. Props for calling that guy out, now I know who you really are.

Back when events were a thing it was nice for finding local stuff…now it’s just meme pages and DJ streams lol.
I’m not sure if I’m more excited for these shows or the melts on fb when people get shut out of tickets. (Myself probably included)
