2006-04-09 Ringo was real close to making the cut. Excited to see how they do some of these, I had never heard a lot of them. Great choices.
This week’s ballot is up and it’s All Night Wrong. There are some straight-up bizarre choices on this that I really have no desire to hear due to vocals (they really think they can do Last Child justice?)
At any rate, my picks:
All Night Wrong :
You voted for: “Sultans of Swing” by Dire Straits, “Twilight Zone” by Golden Earring, “Roses” by Outkast, “Plush” by Stone Temple Pilots, and “Cult of Personality” by Living Colour
Can someone post the full ballot?
I feel like only a handful of these would be a new cover
I am not going to UMBowl this year so idc either way
I’d rather see them put up some songs that they’ve done, in hopes that they jam them out, instead of doing something new and most likely butcher it.
I’m trying to guess to what the 3rd round of voting is going to be. If it’s another album, I’m going to guess that it’s going to be Mantis.
Without looking I think the Aerosmith one is the only debut potentially? And Sultans of Swing
Twilight zone better be played. Made no sense why they shelved that cover. Such great jam potential too.
Have they played Roses by Outkast before?
Yeah NYE 2003, well 12/30 and then on Jam Cruise and never again
no shit, not bad either.
People should be voting for wish by NIN
Canary in a Coalmine has always been on the wishlist. That would be neat.
I feel like i have seen almost all of those
Edit: Sultans of swing, Last Child, Roses, Big Poppa, and Southern Cross are the only ones i dont think i have seen
Oh fuck I need to get my head in the game.
Twilight Zone was one of my favorite covers they did. Great tune, that better win
