I tend to agree a majority of Phish prints aren’t that great imo. They all seem like a mix of The Simpsons and Dr Seuss, on acid. They’re fun and goofy but I wouldn’t hang most of them.
There were some solid ones for The Bakers Dozen though.

I really like a lot of Wilco prints despite me not being a big Wilco fan. I really appreciate when an artist doesn’t try to do too much, which seems to be a common problem for UM.
Those are great. Perfect examples of what I’m talking about.
That’s funny, I absolutely adore Wilco but those prints do next to nothing for me
Wilco’s posters are pretty consistently great. I have the first two framed and the third one is next up.
I really just love prints that are somewhat relevant to the locale. Natural colors, generally not fantasy themed. Santora is my favorite UM regular.

I’m not at all trying to be judgmental, just curious what you like
My buddy has that Chicago and I absolutely love it.
FWIW I really like that solid sound poster opsop posted
I also like the Chicago one.
Im not the most affected by visual art generally, so my opinion is pretty rudimentary. Your judgement would almost certainly not be unfounded.
I appreciate that Spafford Mishawaka poster that was posted a few up, though I’m not a huge spafford fan.
It should be noted too that the three pictures you posted are not very high def, so it leads me to believe there is probably more detail that I am missing.
In hindsight that might have led to a kneejerk dismissal subconsciously.
There’s obviously a lot there, and good art (like wilcos work) takes time to understand and appreciate
I don’t like any of those Wilco posters save for the moon/guitar…that one’s pretty dope.
Not a Wilco fan either. Sky Blue Sky is a good album…if you’re looking for a record to buy your dad.
You posted this in the wrong thread. The Hot Take thread is elsewhere.
Got both of your opinions @anon72818525 and @FurnDiggity. That makes sense and I agree with what you’re saying. I love the super simple aspect of some of those Wilco ones, I just feel as though I’d get very bored of that style after a certain point. But the accessibility of those versus a Dr. Seuss on acid or a Bigdoot makes them more easily hangable.
Edit: lmao @ Bigdoot
Yea I don’t want to ruffle feathers or anything, especially for an artist of any type. Cause I know how hard it has to be to express yourself artistically, especially on a public platform. But I’m more for the simple posters with somewhat realistic elements. The Wilco posters are spot on for something that I would love to hang in my house. But then again I’ve got quite a few AJ Mashtay’s up in my house that have little to no realistic tendencies on them, but his style is more cartoony. I would say 5 or so years ago, I would buy a concert poster I attended 10/10 times… but now as I grow older and less cool… I am very nit picky about my concert merch. Art is the search fam.
100% where I’m at.
Just a recent example Spafford having consistently awesome posters in my opinion:
Umpurey’s nmcgee
Yikes
Howbox odox
The band is letting their kids do prints now huh?
