They were trying to save the art for future shows but have since changed their tune.
I guess $200ish is better than nothing for prints you’ve already purchased from the artist.
They commissioned the posters. I don’t mind them selling them if there are buyers. No one is being forced to buy them (much less at a massive discount)

My buddy actually mentioned this to me, with how things have played out it’s actually pretty rare to have a 2020 show poster or tour shirt. Years down the road you’ll look back at any 2020 memorabilia in a favorable way (maybe)

This is true. I guess I hadn’t thought about the rarity factor. It’s like my neighbor growing up who had a 2003 World Series Game 7 at Wrigley Field ticket framed in his basement.
No harm in selling them if people want them.

I had a 1994 World Series (never happened) ball and played catch with it, destroying it. My dad was livid.

Some people might. I’ll probably be suppressing the urge to punch the mid 20’s hipsters who played roblox the whole pandemic wearing said merch in 15 years.
I say this in terms of having merch from a show that you went to.
Years down the road I’ll look at my Billy poster and remember it being a bright spot in a dark year.
Probably wouldn’t be the same if you had tickets to the San Diego show, liked the poster and bought it even though the show didn’t happen.
