Very surprised to see the 3-14-07 Bright Lights on this list and in the outstanding versions thread. This was my first show, the only songs they played that I knew were BLBC and Fancy. I enjoyed the show thoroughly but never thought that BLBC was too special.

2011 fluff is deserved, such amazing playing that year. Also that really was probably the peak of my UM crush, I had been seeing them for years at that point but I was devouring allthingsumphreys from 2010-2012.
Edit: really 2009 I guess, Mantis dropped and it was fucking game on. Even though some of those early post-Mantis shows were rough they were on their way to hitting that peak of those years and I couldn’t get enough.

I also went to that show, I remember halfway through the first set this dude twice my size passes out and faceplants in front of me. I kneeled down to check if he was conscious or bleeding or something when someone screams in my ear “DO SOMETHING!”
I started to stammer, asking if we should get someone, when an even bigger dude pushes through the crowd and scoops the first guy up in his arms like a baby and carries him out. I assume it was a bouncer- but who knows, could have been anyone. Hope that guy made it out…
Also, my umlive files were corrupted for years for this show and would cut out right as the 2nd jam was getting started. Total blue balls.
