Must’ve listened to that one 100 times before I finally saw UM for the first time in ‘05. Classic

I should have mentioned I stole those pics from some blog a long time ago. Praise be that guy!

I was front row center all night. My mom was tucked away in the back sitting at the bar IIRC. I thought I was such hot shit for smuggling a dugout in the hood of my jacket for the night.

Fire alarm ter! Incredible month for '04. My brother (a casual UM fan) actually got to see them before me in AVL two days before cause I was always singing their praises. He was blown away and skipped classes to catch the Carrboro show on 12/06. That one is actually on nugs atm. Even the standard Snucka from Carrboro is special in its own way imo. Groovy as fuck and just hits different.

It truly is. There’s an old borter (Drew) who actually prefers my first show to ATL, which I can’t say I agree with but… yeah. Every time I talk to Toth about my first show he always reminds me of this lol. I listened to 12/03 so damn much it’s kinda laughable.

For as long as I’ve been on the bort (‘05), good ol’ @sauce07 has pumped this show to all who would listen. Top tier stuff.

I think I did a final big write up about it on the 10th anniversary for bort 2.0 (3.0?). Still go back and listen to it every year.

'04 was when I first starting listening to and seeing UM. I listened to the April Vegas late night show and the Bonaroo late night show on repeat before I first saw them in Lancaster on 7/15. Saw them on the Rocks Off NYC Boat cruise the next night and then at the Stone Pony two nights later.

Went to CO for the first time ever in late September for the 4 shows there and then caught 5 shows in December in Troy, Philly, NYC and both New Years shows at the Riv. Followed that up by going on Jam Cruise shortly thereafter.

Very fond memories of when I first got into the band, some amazing times and couldn’t get enough. 12 shows in 6 months…I was hooked.
