I’d love to see Phish at Pholsom. Dicks is always a great time but it’s stale at this point and I’m glad to see them mixing it up.
However, my baby arrives in April so there will likely be no Phish for me this year unless they miraculously schedule a KC date between the rumored Austin and Boulder dates or I can somehow sneak out to Vegas to catch a Halloween show at the Sphere.
Not betting on either happening. That said, the benefit of becoming a father at age 41 is that I have zero FOMO. I’m looking forward to being a total homebody for the next several years.
Alright I may be high, but this made me tear up a bit. Since I wasn’t able to do a countdown this year, it just kinda hit me watching phish’s. Thanks for the positive vibes phish. Pretty blown away by the production
So, it appears I was mistaken once again. I hadn’t seen that my buddy did send ~almost~ the entire set after all. I’ve yet to figure out which file transfer I’ll use, but this is what I have. It’s in 3 segments, which appears to be from an old OG VHS as the source, but it sounds very good & video is very solid for 1999. There does seem to be bits missing, like the beginning of Albuquerque and possibly either a bit of Caspoan or Rock & Roll, where the segments change over, but still pretty sweet.
Random side note, if there are tickets behind the stage at United center within price range I would say go for it. I had one of the best nights back there, especially watching fishman drum up close. Plus Trey threw a peace sign back at me and my heart melted so I got that going for me
I don’t remember when Phish played the Gorge last - I keep thinking 2019 for some reason, but anyways, there were skinheads on lot selling nitrous, and after some time doing that, they started attacking Phans and beating the crap out of them. Turns out they were from some skinhead group in Idaho.
I erred - this was in 2018. While they played there in 2019 and 2021, they’ve been asked not to come back. Explains why they’ve only played Seattle since then.
