Sky’s The Limit Winter Tour 2026

Doesnt this happen pretty much every year? Winter ter starts off really strong, hype is real, then it falls off. Too many songs. All micro jams.

I guess as long as i hear a handful of good tunes throughout the run, I’m good. But i agree on the tmsnei.

It is a lot like this

Turns out if you never get excited about UM, they cant let you down

Yes but I don’t think they ever found their footing on this tour, though. There were encouraging signs when Scotty joined the band last year. Loose playing, 5-6 song sets. It felt like things were changing for the better. This year been back to the same ol shit.

Yeah I havent listened to much 3.0 tbh. But I have streamed a couple of shows on this tour and they were alright. Couple solid jams. But it was still pretty much the same UM I remember. I do enjoy Scotty though.

Who’s all going this evening?

Fun part of town to putz around in, definitely can do a pre-show brew. Any of the many breweries within walking distance to the venue are good options (Barcade, Dock Street, etc)

I see what you are saying because there are all sorts of weird and uneven sets but then again, there has been some great stuff lately. Jams don’t really need to be 10+ mins to be good especially with UM. 6-8 mins is their sweet spot.

Anybody been to the caverns and can share details about hotels/camping? Transportation?

Thinking about going on a little road trip and hitting up this show.

Ive done 8 Biscuits caverns shows (one was DUMB tour). There are cabins on the property. A bit pricey. Never stayed in them but im sure it makes it easy. Sometimes they allow camping on the property, and I believe theres another pretty big campground like 10 min away. Other than that, most lodging is ~30 min away since the Caverns are in the middle of nowhere.

Ive always stayed at the Smokehouse Lodge in Monteagle. Its not a nice place, but usually is full of people going to the shows and is a party. Theres an adult big wheel race track on the property that can get pretty rowdy after a show. There are some nicer options on the same road, if you’d rather go that route. Quality Inn and a Hampton Inn I think.

Shuttles run to and from all of the hotels in Monteagle. You have to book them in advance and theyve gone up in price the past few years. I think its like $30 a head round trip.

Cannot stress the Sluthouse Lodge and the big racetrack out back. It’s like real life Mario kart

Always a party there

SJB covered most of it but if no one in your crew is willing to drive, be careful with the shuttles. Got stuck in the rain spun out for 2hrs after Bisco Halloween 2024 waiting for the driver. And other similar not great experiences

Check out Big Mouth Camping. It’s right next door and has small indoor options with AC if you aren’t wanting to camp

Absolutely right. Have been stuck in the rain waiting on a shuttle for over an hour. Also have been in a situation where I was less fucked up than the shuttle driver

Joel confirmed on a podcast today that there will be an UM Bowl in the back half of the year, and if all goes to plan it will be in a new UM Bowl city, and a venue they’ve never played in before.

Early guesses: mission ballroom, the eastern in Atlanta

Edit not rabbit rabbit in avl, apparently not a thing anymore

Pabst Theater in MKE??!!..

:crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:

One of the biggest disappointments, in my opinion, was that UM hung on so long with the Rave/Eagle’s that they passed over the Pabst Theater & Turner Hall, then went straight to the Riverside. I’m not at all trying to act like I’m complaining about the Riverside, but I’ve always wanted to see them play the Pabst.

I like those guesses but I would rather go somewhere else besides those three usual haunts.

If not Vegas, let’s go to Nola!

2015 UMBowl was vegas so unless Cummins lies…

I wanted it to be Vegas until I was informed shortly ago it was a new city.
