Sky’s The Limit Winter Tour 2026

I’m pretty stoked for Seattle. I’ve been listening to the ‘26 shows so far and I really like what I’m hearing

If the routing were different (and daddy Donny wasn’t coming through) then Seattle would be on the table. But Portland>Seattle>Eugene sounds like shit.

I’m sure they’ll lay down some straight fire for you, Pooks!

I’ve been abstaining from checking out any soundboards to keep my ears fresh. Glad to see a lot of positive talk around here, though.

2023’s fri:eugene>sat:seattle>sun:portland exposed the less than ideal haul that is eug<->sea. though doable, and at least it was on a saturday, it was just too much and thus not bothering with the seattle stop this tour

same here

I’d rather watch Willie play some real bellringers instead of Frasco eating fake mushrooms on stage.

It’s definitely a strange run. I would think Portland and Eugene wouldn’t have Seattle sandwiches on between. Seems like a lot of unnecessary mileage

It’s an hour and a half of Bitches Brew jams basically. That’s been my experience with the 3 I’ve been to. If that’s your thing, it’ll be a great time. As a huge fan of Miles Davis’s electric period, it hits for me.

Also the gap day in Portland. Just a very strange run of shows in general. I’m only doing the second Portland night and Seattle. 5 hours to Eugene on Saturday is too tall of an order for me, just gonna hang with my Seattle friends for the weekend.

This project is playing at a club on a Sunday in Ocean Beach. It’s $40, maybe the most I’ve ever seen for any show in OB. There’s going to be like 15 there.

I had fun seeing the North Indiana All Stars back in like 2008-2009. He is a talented horn player.

Anyone is better than Frasco.

I normally do that too, but I’ve been curious with how the Zwang-era jans are evolving

I’m thinking about taking the train from Seattle to Eugene. I think that’s the move this year.

I saw Willie Waldman with Banyan years ago at an obscure festival in the middle of nowhere Utah. I was wondering what the fuck was wrong with him the whole time.

Willie Waldman complemented my trumpet playing (through a mutual) at Harmony Park in 2011. The mutual offered to introduce us but I was feeling all high and mighty after hearing the stories about him smoking crack out of his trumpet mouthpiece (in retrospect I should’ve met him)

Maybe I’m a little greedy piggy but no livestreams for the 5 show week? I need 'em.

I was surprised they didn’t announce Philly &/or DC considering those venues have been streamed historically

JRAD extra nice right now

It feels like we’re getting back to the same old formula. Like, the exploration has stopped. This tour has been pretty underwhelming.
