Roll Calls still a thing? Anyone else in? Never done an all inclusive, didn’t have the ability to attend while they were doing these for years before…always wanted to but was never in the cards so to speak.
Any tips?

I’m not going but I finally got my passport replaced so catch me at the next one. As far as tips go this is by Consider It Dan rebranded from my understanding when Holidaze was by Cloud 9 so some of this advice might not translate but off the top of my head:
-Search at customs in Mexico is a green/red light random selection situation
-Bring any powders (aka k cause c is abundant) in EmergenC packets resealed with a hair straightener
-If you drink beer bring a six pack or two of your favorites cause the resort selection is usually whack
-Speaking of resort drinks bring your own tumbler so you don’t have to keep going to the bar for 8oz disposables. It’s nice to have your own cup for frozen and mixed drinks. Saves you trips to the bar too.
-Speaking of trips to the bar bring lots of $1 cause money talks and there’s plenty of opportunities to grease palms for above and beyond service. Find a select few resort workers and start them with a $20 and return to them throughout your stay to get better service.
-Make a reservation or two at the restaurants on site. Pre music meal in late afternoon twice during the trip is nice.
-Take an offsite excursion. Not sure if there’s anything official to Tulum but that would be a solid one to consider.
-Probably too late for this if not doing already but book an extra night at the end of the trip for recovery.
-Pack stomach meds in case you get Montezumas Revenge while you are down there
I’m sure others have more tips but those are some starters for now.
Hope you have an amazing time. I did Holidaze five times in three countries and those are some of my fondest memories (or lack there of for parts of the first three I went to aged 20, 21, and 25.)
I just got back from Panic En La Playa a couple weeks ago
It was my first time doing one of those festivals and i can not recommend it enough. One of the best times of my life.
I started taking probiotics a month before trip and didnt have any stomach issues. Was really careful about water. Even brushed teeth with bottle.
I wasnt the biggest fan of the restaurants at our resort but the catering at show time and the 24/7 room service was so clutch!!
I think i ordered room service legit like 10+ times in 5 days. It was glorious.
We also made sure to find some staff to tip well at the start. That is good advice. We brought $300 worth of $2 bills for tipping at resort and that lasted us the whole trip.
Pre-day and post-day were crucial for transition. Would definitely recommend if you have the option.
Bottles of water are everywhere. Drink them.
If you bring a big cup they will make all your drinks in it and save you some trips to the bar.
When you get there you kinda forget that you already paid out the ass to be there. It took me a solid two days before i let myself fully embrace being pampered and spoiled.
We brought little pods to clean our jacuzzi which was nice. I thought it was a waste of time before the trip but was shocked by how much cleaner it got after we used it. Actually made me want to take advantage of it which added to the relaxation of the trip.
Was a big fan of hitting the water slides each morning to clear my sinuses and wake me up.
Edit: saw @OSUmBeaverPhreak mentioned the tumbler cup as well. I didnt understand the appeal at first but by the end of my trip i was on board.
8oz disposables, wild…just booze for me so thanks for the tumbler tip.
Also would have never thought about getting a reservation…I always assumed these things were just a slop trough buffet…
Thanks!

the $2bill is probably my favorite denomination of US currency, with the dollar coin a close second
wow, never even thought of that. coffee and water slide to start the day is a pro move
We rode the shit out of the water slides when we went to holidaze
Wish we were going. Have fun!
Going! I paid in full one week before I was laid off so zero guilt. I attended holidaze in 2016 and 2021 so this fits with my apparent 5 year schedule
Remember when we tried to order 20 grilled cheeses then chickened out and only ordered 6
Went to 10 out of 12 Holidaze, best times ever!
Cannot travel in the springtime so no Deep Dive for me. Have fun, it’s gonna be a blast!
The lineup looks awesome. I would consider going next year if they do it again.
Hopefully Hawaii or Portugal brah.
I also wandered one night trying to get us all a btl of champagne but failed doing so lol
I almost always carry $2 bills as well, which I only use for tipping, mostly at shows but then also at restaurants / taverns. The start of the $2 bill thing for me was back in the 90s in Phish lots. Always a fun time to pop $2 bills on somebody after a show.
The rumor from Morocco that I heard from one of the event organizers is Portugal 2027
