Ignoring the “obvious cash grab” comment:
Damn I just figured out what this means. KB is inside of vacuums which is why they’re so good at sucking
It means “fans” believe he is some Oz or Puppet Master who makes decisions all by himself. Or, you all realize that isn’t the case and he just serves as the straw man and whipping boy for all of these (groundless) complaints.
Lmao at KB complaints being groundless

Sounds like someone is getting a lot of angry Twitter messages on the umphreys twitter account
(I wonder why)

Live look at jwelsh raking in the UM $$ and laughing at our misfortunes
Also I wonder why people shit on KB and don’t even know the name of any other band managers. Could it be his narcissistic need to insert himself into everything?
Granted this has been a shitty and evolving situation without a doubt but you have to admit those tweets make no fucking sense. Maybe you could help make any sort of sense of them, but the answer seems to be “didn’t write the tweets,” to which I kindly doff my fedora in your direction
Lol. I will alert our doormen.
(Biscuits in New Haven?)
Nah I wish, all my friends are there right now but that’s not what I came to do.
Baby shower for my “sister in law” tomorrow in Central Park and then Sox yankees Sunday
I cannot make more sense of them than what has already been offered.
We used the word “flux” in the press release (that I did post) for a reason; the band was not privy to the municipality’s decisions. As venues opened, the band was not going to leave fans shut out and play to a three-quarters empty Red Rocks when there was an opportunity for the six of them to play to more people after the year we all had. I think the author of those tweets was trying to say that they had no control over when or by how much the venues would be opened; and they want to play to a number of fans, not in pods or cars. With this final opening up, it was agreed upon by all entities involved that a select remaining number of tickets were to be made available.
Then they should lower the ticket price, cough cough
edit: Super appreciate you dealing with us apes for the last couple decades)
(I do feel that the lottery system used for these tickets was unfortunate in hindsight. As with the opening of more seats, those fans who would have normally simply been denied their extras that “they rolled the dice on / tried to game the system” were actually awarded tickets and found themselves with extras to unload. I am less convinced by complaints of ticket prices or playing to a larger number fans.)
That is not going to gain any traction with me. I have a hard time believing fans who would have not otherwise gone to Red Rocks purchased more expensive tickets (and more tickets than they ended up needing) because they wanted the “intimacy” of sitting way in the back on some bleachers.
I need to keep working on my “real job.” Happy Friday, lol.
The only bummer for me is I definitely would’ve chosen the cheaper 3 day pass if that were an option. Now I am stuck with the premium $ tickets and the assigned sections likely will not even be enforced. But you’re right I planned to buy tickets regardless of price.
I saw this noted in another thread. Again, I am not sure how this has anything to do with the Band (“KB”). If ushers are not doing their job, well. Not sure what to say about that . . .
You have another job ?
Not sure if you are being facetious, but yes. By day, I work as an architect.
