New Wings is great! The groove is fantastic. The solo is fantastic. The jam potential is fantastic. About my only complaint is it gets a little TOO bogged down in Bayliss wordiness for its own good at times, but that merely bumps it from a 9.5/10 to an 8.5. We take 8.5s gladly these days

Small Strides still easily my favorite and the most promising for a live setting. Infectious bass and drums that will lead to guarantee dance driven improv.

Agreed. Most of these songs just seem so uninspired and single-note. There’s no tension or change or dynamic element to them.
