So I will partly disclaim this by admitting that I have never written a song, and I canāt even wrap my head around writing even the lyrics for an emo Bayless ballad.
But holy fucking shit, those are the worst lyrics I have ever seen. I canāt believe he posted those online. Sometimes you can get away with shitty lyrics if you drench the song in reverb and sing in a garbled tone, but he just put them out there for the world to see.
The highlight in my mind is imagining him really emphasizing the punctuation in āJust like girls we just wanna. Have. Fun.ā in a line where he is rhyming fun with fun.
