Hadn’t seen them in 14 years before they played Portland a year ago in January and I ate a roll my friend left with me from the Biscuits the weekend prior and I had to sit down for most of the second set because my eyes were in the back of my head and I was too fucking high on MDMA to stand up correctly. Good times. I’ve only seen moe. like 14 or 15 times but I appreciate them taking UM under their wing and showing them the way early on. Plus they are capable of some good jamming. Spent my 21st birthday weekend seeing two nights of moe. at the Riv in Chicago back in 2009 and have fond memories of eating shit on the pavement in front of the Starbucks across the street when some wook tried to run off with my balloons that I wouldn’t let go of which resulted in me face planting and fucking my nose up pretty bad to the point that the Kinetic Playground would not let me in that night.
I’ve heard rumblings of a co-headline um/moe. tour this summer. Iroquois would be an excellent addition.

Yeah my buddy who books for venues in Madison told me about the co bill when I ran into him at Sylvee. He was trying to get them booked for that new venue in Milwaukee but doubt it happens with UM wanting to keep playing at Pabst theater group.
I caught wind from someone at the Syvlee show that Umphrey’s was going back to Yuba this summer. Honestly I just want Louisville and Iowa City on the tour this summer so I can convince my “wife” we need to do the whole thing.
Hope they come to STL. Would enjoy that co-bill.

I asked them several months ago if they’d open up their API so I could vibe code some projects utilizing it. I had this idea for a digital trading card showing your UM stats for instance. I thought having an ATU API hackathon for the community where people vibe coded their ideas using the setlist data could make for some interesting submissions.
Yea I looked in the past and couldn’t fnd an in to their api, but setlist.fm apparently does have one fwiw. I signed up but never actually got the access creds, and then I lost steam.
