Maybe y’all just cant follow a rhythm without a drummer :man_shrugging:. Drums in bluegrass bands usually end up being way too loud and don’t really fit in with the sound. Percussion over acoustic instruments clashes a bit too hard.

I definitely can’t, and I’m OK with it. That said, Jerry Garcia bluegrass works for me, but i think it’s cuz I like his singing. I don’t know if it’s considered bluegrass, but James McMurtry is enjoyable to me as well.

Funny your say that, cuz I listened to a tDB 1.0 show and was smacked in the gob by how much better it was than I’d thought it was gonna be. I almost like that sound more than the daddy untz. And you should add Moe. to that list.
