Could of. Would of
Saw UM and RRE at that festival in 2011. Was a pretty solid time.
Kind of a wtf seeing that Saturday this year is all jam bands but the lineup for Thursday is Taking Back Sunday, Say Anything, Gym Class Heroes, and Head Automatica lol.
the longer im away from it, the more i romanticize it. especially when umphreys is around
Anniversary of 3/4/11 one of my favorite runs of um. Not the most stand out show, but some great moments. The sociable kinda turns into this Santana feel jam with a slow build that just crushes the return into the song, and Iâve mentioned how fucking great this bottom half is. Seriously everyone listen to this bottom half.
And while the time cover isnât that great, it got college Cole really excited.
These shows were when I lived in Iowa during college. It was exam week. Did exams>madison>drive back to Iowa day one
Thursday was exams>madison>realizing I couldnât do the 3 hour drive alone on back county highways and not die and drove to my parents
Friday drive from Milwaukee at 6am to Iowa>crushed my last exam>drove to minny for the weekend for two shows and a late night.
Saturday show>late night>taco bell>banged the girl I stayed with.
Sunday left at 7am>noon radio show and then passed out for 14 hours lol
Set 1: Sociable Jimmy, Rocker Part 2, Nothing Too Fancy[1] > 13 Days, The Bottom Half, Plunger
Set 2: JaJunk[2] > Time > JaJunk, Wappy Sprayberry > Booth Love, Peg, Slacker
Encore: Pay the Snucka
awww, they played Peg just for you! congrats on the sex
Itâs not a coincidence I got pegged that night
Alright this rocker is also awesome, another Latin flavored jam right after the Jimmy. But god damn ![]()
From Joel Q&A:
- Next album will feature all new material
- âLikelyâ multiple albums in the works
- Additional NC show and June and July shows announced next week
- âA few but not a lotâ of fall tour dates
Mmm yes I can start planning Colorado road trip!
All new material as in the UMBowl stews from the last few years or actual unheard songs, I wonder?
Thought it was interesting none of the stew songs were played this past weekend.
Itâll be done when itâs done. And yes the next proper studio album will feature all new material. Weâve been working on the tunes now for over a year already.
I would read this to mean completely new songs. With the suggestion that they may have more than one album in the works, I wonder if the second could be a raw stewage album.
That is exactly what Iâm thinking.
So⌠could summer and fall, be the new album release tours? Or are we still a little out from that?
If I had to guess, Iâd guess next year will be the new album theme tour. Release in late fall and a big winter tour to back it. But who knows.
I hope they make it back to Detroit this summer.
UMBowl stew songs that will definitely be on the album were played at the Metro shows - Concessions, Out of Focus, Unevloved, Wide Open, Exit Signs
Weâll see what the others are and if theyâre unplayed/unheard yet similar to AFAF
I wouldnât be so sure. Raw stewage songs weâve already heard doesnât jive with âall new materialâ that theyâve been working on for over a year.
Guessing if thereâs multiple albums itâd be one of new stuff and one of the RS songs. Somebody mentioned talking to Jake after the Metro shows and he mentioned an album mostly done live with minimal overdubs. That would make sense for the RS stuff I think
I also wouldnât put it past them to do a second Zonkey album at some point. There were some indications they were interested in that.
