One of my favorites ive seen; nothing crazy mindblowing but that show means a lot to me. The GA>lyric stew is so fucking nostalgic for me. Anytime I put it on it puts me right back to that time in my life. That was a huge show of first time seens for me too. Wormbog, Passing (!!), Hangover, Last Train Home (!!). Might have been my first DBK as well

I was there, too. That GA is gorgeous. Only other thing I remember about the show was being stoked to get Last Train Home because I was a huge Metheny fan before I knew who UM was. .

Yeah, that 09/15/07 show was solid for sure. If it wasn’t on the heels of Madison/Urbana it would get more praise/respect. Good times for sure!!

Rush > more prog > king crimson > Brian eno/more atmospheric music > pat meth > “hey you should check out Umphrey’s McGee” > “Weird name, are they a joke or something? Fuck it, I’ll see em live if y’all are” > “what the fuck was that? They’re coming back in two months? Okay I’ll go again” > “So I have this new favorite band I can’t stop listening to”

I had a teacher in high school, in like 2002 or something, who knew I played guitar and she burned me all of the Pat Metheny and Pat Metheny Group studio albums. She was cool as fuck.
