Totally up to the band. For video, they need to hire the gear and the crew since that’s not something the band has invested in on their own (like goose/spafford have). It’s probably just not worth the cost to them to bring out a video crew to every show, and they’ve made it pretty clear they don’t want to bring somebody on tour to do video permanently

@gatroe Yeah UM has had some streams this year, but they’re all video. I’m betting it’s cheaper to do audio only streams, which Bisco has been doing nonstop. Maybe it is unfair to think UM should be doing the same, I dunno.

I think every UMBowl has been streamed. Though I remember one in the iClips or TourGigs days where we missed almost the entire first quarter.

Gotta say it is certainly funny how Bisco somehow now has better fan engagement and management than UM, and playing more shows (I think.)

Was KB good at his original job? Enough so, to where the band feels a sense of loyalty to him? Or is it possible that he has the goods on them, and is simply blackmailing them through a series of highly questionable business decisions?

He’s just a close friend of the band from the beginning. He did not have any mixing experience before he started with them.

Is there a reason no1 talks about Vince when referring to UM management? Hasn’t he been managing UM longer than KB? Idk who is in charge of what but just curious how he goes unscathed when ripping on UM’s obvious marketing downfall.

I don’t know what the division of labor is like but KB seems to be more public facing.
Also Vince has long been in the manager role but it wasn’t until after KB switched that there was a perceived downturn.
Is it because KB willingly puts himself out there when promoting the band and ideas?
To my point about bisco fan engagement and interest…
