This was very nice. I can tell from the Outstanding Versions list that N2F was a beast in the mid 00’s.
Only seen non Cincy people use that. My Bay friends shorten it to Cinci.
Me too. That man turned me into a hardcore Gabriel-era Genesis fan and I could never thank him enough for it
Man I’ve always hated the Y in the short hand. I say what I want lmao
Carpet crawlers is one of my favorite lesser known tunes. When Genesis busted it out on the last tour, I was floored.

Not necessarily a sit-in since Redman did a run of shows with them. But I loved this when I saw it live.

Redman really drive the theme and melody in the jam.
Dumb question time. What would be your Mt. Rushmore of UM songs.
HBB
DBK
Fancy
Front Porch
First 3 seemed easy enough, and with that last one I went with a personal favorite.
Leave the mountain untouched.

Reso
Phil’s
Synco
Plunger
HBB and DBK are too often a set eater with no payoff. Reso/Phil’s/Plunger are more consistent ham vehicles lately and Synco is one of my favorite tunes even without a jam.
Probably would change slightly if you’re saying historical Mt Rushmore, there are some HBBs in particular I love.
I was thinking of a historical theme to my question. I’m in a research mode now and going through the years, and noticed that the early years had all sorts of bangers from the long staples.
If I had a list based on preferences and what I look for in UM.

Hurts leaving Plunger and Ringo off.
Great minds think alike, 2x2 and Phils were my other two…
Honorable mentions to 1348, Bridgeless, and Wappy.
