Catching a Liquid for the first time was cool for the stats, but that song really sucked the life out of the room. Nothing Im continuously chasing.
Its also nice Jake limited the urge to sing Little Gift to only once a year now.

when I met the “wife” she was an phishhead & UM hater. She’s come around and enjoys them now but she still says stuff like “damn, this is really good. this is why I love them” when they played FZ in Detroit.

Ha, but i remember loving that set/show.
10/18/18 was the most fun ive ever had at a nuts to butts crammed show. Bluebird shows were a dirty bird party, but that Canopy show was too much fun. Even walking up to the venue seeing the marquee say “Celebrating 20 Years of UM” my buddy and I were like “well thats interesting” and then walking in and seeing birthday balloons in the shape of “20” and other congrats type decorations on the walls, we knew we were in for something.
I will say though that my buddy i went with is an UM fan but not super deep by any means, and by the end of the show he 100% had enough of me completely geeking out and "holy shit"ing. Pretty sure I just motor mouthed to @Stupac at setbreak and didn’t even say a word to him lol. I was highAF on the UMs that night

This was Detroit on Saturday, the crowd was pretty rowdy and seemed to love the cock rock, so they delivered just that. We’re not the ones they’re trying to please anymore lol
I knew we were in trouble when they only let ITK go 6 minutes.
Now that I think about it, that could be the shortest jam Ive maybe ever seen from any band.
Dont let the Nugs track time fool you, they have the second half of Seasons lumped with it and not notated.

The chill shows are just always the best. It’s reason the wednesdays in small markets were consistently the best. Smaller rooms, smaller crowds, smaller light rig all lends itself to a slightly more chill atmosphere and not feeling the need to blow their load every 4 min

The huge rock peak crescendo BS is always my least favorite part of jams. They’re capable of being so much more creative than that. It’s a bummer it’s such a frequent crutch.
