That’s a really cool trinket. I’m not super big on trinkets myself, and certainly not a part of the trinket trade, but I like that one
Ya there’s some good ones out there. Not enough to get sucked into the trinket world, but they’re out there.
I think @jachapman made a few bucks pushing trinkets on the side idk the margins tho
Need to get some insider trinket trading info
I have a few of his still. Those mirro plungers he did and gave all the money to the funeral costs was a grade A gesture.
I’ve spent way more than I’d like to admit on trinkets… but not as much as so of my friends.
I found one dead in my parking lot the other day and listened to Mantis. I guess there was something there worth dying for…
Dark August jams are a lifestyle choice I’ve fully committed to making. Listening to 2007-03-15 right now.
When introducing somebody to UM, what’s your go-to song (live or studio)?
National Loser Anthem
Prowler, Fussy, GITV, Tinkles… proggier instrumentals. I try to go as long as possible before playing a song with lyrics
Papa Can Change a Blurred Stone.
If they’re a really good friend, I spare them.
Man I am fucking up my posts today.
Puppet String
To me it depends on what kind of music/favorite bands they like already. I try to give them something that’s closer to that to get an instant reel-in. In a vacuum, All in Time, Fussy, Phil’s, maybe Puppet. Like to throw in a sick as cover of Rosanna or something which tends to get a good reaction
Puppet Strings is the song my casual friends latched onto first
It feels like one of the most “quintessential” UM songs to me
Wife Soup
Waist down or Cold Smoke.
Is it Wife Soup or “Wife” Soup?
If they’re a proghead: Wizard Burial Ground or Plunger
If I know they like dancy music: 3x (preferably one with a good mid length jam. I’ve even used 12/28/13)
Everyone else: All In Time or Kitchen
1/13/18 Draconian. Never met anyone who doesn’t dig that yam, UM fan or not
