I just watched Lollapalooza 2006 and I encountered 2 things I have never seen/heard before in hundreds of shows:
-Bayliss actually singing the word “gooo” at the end of All In Time (though I’m sure this actually happens on very early shows. Any others? What’s the most recent?)
-A “standard” Dump City.
Was wondering when you’d pop up.
Dan! Haven’t read posts from you in quite some time! Great to see you around these parts!
Hey guys! I’ve been around but not posting much as I’ve been working a bunch and just moved which was a 3 week process. Hope all is well!
Has anyone watched the Jake “A Day in the Dock” yet?

That entire jam in ingrained in my head. GOAT UM show.
Yes. Thank you for this.
Did anyone watch that Jake live stream thing? Was it good? Setlist?
He ate taco bell?
it was alright. mostly just kinda “fly on the wall” stuff, but it was enjoyable. He played a couple instrumentals he had written in quarantine and did a 3 part tracking session. Started out on keys then tracked drums and then bass. WW&S and 40’s were the only UM tunes he played, iirc. Hes always a goofball tho and that was funny to watch. I know it may not be the most entertaining for a “wide” audience, but I would definitely pay some bucks to watch a doc of him going through the gear in his studio. Recording programs, guitars, pedals, yadda yadda.
That’s funny, I was camping over the weekend with no cell service but I had my old-as-dirt .mp3 player with me (it’s always in my backpack) and it has 1/27/11 on it and I definitely pumped that GA. My god that show is incredible, my all time fave, consider myself extremely lucky to have been there that night. One cool thing I forgot about is in the IC jam, it builds so beautifully to that uplifting peak, and then it comes down and gets dirty for a minute (Stasik spearheads it), and then on top of that they go BACK to the uplifting peak but maintain that sort of evil “nearly off the rails” element to it as it gets crazier each pass til it climaxes -> GITV. The way they do the transition is so damn good too, just because of that pause to start GITV you nearly don’t realize they just went into another song and that’s not just a stop on a dime ending. From the Aud recording anyway.
Who would’ve thought that Jake would contribute to the “Replace UM song titles with diarrhea” thread?
Yeah it was interesting, and worth the $5.
The 3 part song was kind of cool. Dark, electro video game-y kind of vibe form what I remember.
