I think the move is to buy a gift card if you aren’t planning to book any flights on Friday. Basically you get ~$160 of flights for $100 (assuming the points are still redeeming at about 1.2-1.3cpp)

Tip hop fucks.

And I’ve seen quite a few Tipper shows that melted my acid drenched brain. SIYD

The thing I don’t get is there’s a slew of DJs that try to be Tipper. Theres a new ā€œbigā€ thing every 3 years. Heyoka, Kalya Scintilla, Bogtrotter, Detox Unit etc. It’s all a wook trap. I don’t get excited for these festivals like I once did. It’s all just grimy fucking people and young kids trying to shove as many drugs in their face as they can. It’s a young man’s game.

On the Resonance tip (pun intended), it would take biscuits to get me there. Also, I don’t believe Marvin’s would allow car camping after what happened at the last All Good there. Which means I have to lug all my shit up that mountain. No thanks. RV or hoty for me.

TL;DR - drugs are fun. Dance parties are fun. Wooking out is fun. But drippy bass all sounds the same.

You’re not wrong. But, I usually go Bluetech for DMT purposes nowadays (and really for any drug-fueled scratching the drippy bass itch. - K and Deems is top tier combo imo).

This is a good one. And my go to for Deems lately. Sick visuals too.

This guy really is a master of his craft (much like Tipper), and I love his sound. He’s pretty much the only swampy bass DJ I still listen to regularly.

I’m actually really surprised that they are allowing car camping in the mountains again. I woke up to the deathly horrifying screams from the accident at 2011 All Good and immediately packed to leave.

RV was my first thought but electric hookups are sold out. And hotels in Masontown, WV…sounds like a basic plot for a horror movie.

I was just looking at the Resonance Fest logistics and it looks like it is a 10 hr drive. As much as I’d love to cross WV off my list I just don’t think it’s do-able. Music is Thu/Fri/Sat so I’d have to take off Wed-Mon since I can only drive 7 hours max before my eyes get tired.

I didn’t see any hotel/shuttle options…if they had those I’d be more inclined to just fly to the closest airport and go that route.

If you fly into HTS/CRW or Morgantown (don’t know the code but it’s the closest to Marvin’s) I would be happy to help get you the rest of the way and back. The other two are right along my way there and all 3 of them are smaller than your local grocery store so getting in/out is very easy.

Or you could even crash at my place on the way there and back, I have plenty of space for whoever, Beds/couches. 7 hour drive from ATL then 3 to Masontown. Just an offer!

I really appreciate the offer!

Just did a quick look, CRW has direct flights for a lil over $300 R/T so that would be the move right there. Will look into this a lil more on Thursday when I’m off.

Where do you live again?

I’m in Huntington, WV. Right on the KY and OH borders.

I guess I could fly out with a small tent/air mattress and make it work. Are you planning on getting there Wed evening or Thu morning?

watching you convince yourself and make a plan on the bort in real time is very fun to watch.

Hahahaha. I want to go, I guess I should see if I can get off work before I get too excited about it!

Based on the lineup, I’ll be arriving Thurs evening but I guess that could change due to the schedule. I think I saw that it’s being released on 6/21.

We’re also in the land of Walmart’s so my suggestion would be to just pick that stuff up on the way to save yourself checking extra bags.

I had never listened to Tipper before, but this morning I put some on over coffee. Sitting on that hill, overlooking the WV mountains on a chill September eve while listening to this stuff sounds too good to pass up.

The videos I’ve seen of his live shows look wild.
