That show was everything you could want out of a 12/30 honestly. The improv clock probably pushed an hour 20 with this one. Not all of it was perfect, but enough of it was a complete home run itâs tough not to be satisfied. Highlights were probably Intentions and Junk, both of which went on about 5 minutes past when they would usually abort them. Small Strides had a breakout version as well. Solid top 10-15 show out of my 100+. Out of Focus was very welcome. Hearing only one AFAF song was even more welcome.

havent seen the band since the caverns so I was just excited for whatever
IC had a 9.5 jam, then went into something I thought was new. but it was still jam, sounded compâd but was a beaut. that was a fucking blast

that was a damn good show though. IC, junk, small strides jams all stood out. just checked nugs and bisco has last nightâs show up. no UM tho. oh how the turntables

Last night looks great on paper. Probably an unpopular opinion on here but I wish UM would get rid of horns on NYE. Takes away from their sound and seems forced. Mad Dogs little secret is that he can single handedly ruin an UM show. Probably end up playing a cover with horns, doing some stupid gimic Mad Dog conducts the band shit. I prefer my UM like I prefer my drugs, uncut.

I donât mind the horns but this was also when they would play 3-4 nights a NYE run. When itâs just 2 shows I definitely would prefer no horns.
The horn battle at the last Tabby NYE is probably my least favorite UM memory. God awful
